How It Works

What to Send Us
- A walkthrough video of the floor. Walk through each room at a steady pace with the camera pointing at the floor. Show us the surface condition, any wear, damage, or areas of concern. Phone camera is fine.
- Up the stairs, if relevant. For stair sanding, walk the camera slowly up each tread. Pause on worn nosings or damaged risers.
- Doorways and transitions. Where floors meet other surfaces — steps, different room levels, thresholds. These details affect the price.
- Close-ups of any damage. Scratches, water marks, gaps between boards, split sections — a five-second close-up tells us more than a long description.
- Rough room dimensions, if you have them. Even "about 4 by 5 metres" helps. We can estimate from footage too.
- What you'd like done. Sanding and finishing, new floor fitted, a colour change, or not sure yet? All fine — tell us and we'll work with it.
What Happens Next
One of our team reviews your video properly and puts together an estimate based on what they see: the floor type, condition, room sizes, and what you've asked for. On weekdays you'll have a price back within 24 hours. Often it's the same afternoon.
If we need to clarify anything, we'll message you back on WhatsApp. No phone tag, no chasing. For straightforward jobs the estimate will be close to the final price. For more complex work we may recommend a quick site visit, but you'll already know the ballpark before we arrive.

Tips for a Good Video
- Landscape mode. Hold the phone sideways for a wider view of each room.
- Walk slowly. A steady, unhurried walk is far more useful than a quick sweep.
- Show the edges. Skirting boards, doorways, and room transitions are where the details are. Pan down to them.
- Natural light helps. Open the curtains — daylight shows the floor better than overhead lights.
About Our Estimates
A video estimate is not the same as measuring with a laser. But we've been working on London floors since 2004, and we can read a floor from footage. Our WhatsApp estimates typically come within 10% of the final on-site price. For straightforward jobs in standard rooms, it's usually spot-on.
If there's a meaningful difference after we visit, we'll explain exactly why before any work starts. No surprises.
