This project involved the professional installation of engineered wood flooring at a property in Upper Holloway, N19. Our team removed the existing flooring, prepared the subfloor, and installed the new engineered wood boards throughout the space with matching finishing details. The client wanted a durable floor with a natural wood appearance that would improve both the look and practicality of the property. Engineered wood flooring was chosen for its stability, modern appearance, and suitability for everyday use.

Before fitting the new floor, the existing floor coverings were removed and the subfloor was checked and prepared to create a smooth, stable base. We also assessed door clearances and planned the board direction to achieve a balanced finish across the rooms.
After the preparation work was completed, our fitters installed the engineered wood flooring with careful attention to board alignment, spacing, and finishing details. Underlay, thresholds, and edging trims were fitted to complete the installation and create a neat overall appearance.
Additional care was taken around corners, doorways, and room transitions to ensure the finished floor looked consistent and professionally installed.

All work was completed to specification and signed off by the client on the day. Typical costs for this type of work in London range from £25-45 per sqm for sanding and finishing, depending on floor condition, area size and finish selected.
The completed installation gave the property a warmer and more modern appearance while providing a durable flooring solution suitable for daily use. The natural wood finish helped brighten the rooms and created a clean, consistent look throughout the space.
The client was pleased with the final result and the overall quality of the installation.
